About Me


My name is Alex Care. I first came across coaching in 2004 when I was working in a job I didn’t enjoy, but didn’t know what I wanted to do. 

Working with a coach I was able to unblock my thinking to work out exactly what it was that I wanted to change at that time. As a result, I have had a really happy career in Local Government.

Outside of work I was using the techniques I learnt to help friends who were struggling and really enjoyed supporting them in their journey. I found myself enjoying this more and more and decided that I wanted to be able to help people overcome their self limiting beliefs and enable them to have that 'light bulb' moment. 

I trained and qualified as a Coach and I specialise in confidence, workplace, career, executive and leadership coaching. I am a member of the EMCC.

As I got older and experienced more of life and life's challenges and ups and downs, I realised that I was looking for similar inspiration and guidance in my private life that I had found through my career coaching experience.

I found mindfulness.

I went on a Mindfulness for Wellbeing course, and a Mindfulness Insight course. Both of these had profound impacts on me and I noticed changes in the way I was dealing with people, my confidence, my own sense of self worth and a calmness which I still can't quite explain!

Until then, I had only used mindfulness in my private life; now I wanted to know how using mindfulness might impact on my life at opportunity came to qualify as a Mindfulness in the Workplace practitioner and teacher, and I grabbed it!

Being more aware of myself and others at work and having a range of mindfulness tools at my disposal have been invaluable in changing behaviour and motivation at work for me, my team and other colleagues.
